due to continous sitting 4767

Aching of lower back is a very common problem seen in adults; it is mostly seen in those who sit on chair throughout the day. The onset of lower back pain has a tendency to go up with age, up to 50% of those over 60 years old. Lower back pains get better if a person remain active and always try to avoid such positions and activities which may increase the pain.

If a person has an aching back problem, five things mentioned below that one can try to get relief and I am sure one of them will definitely help them out:

1. Just lie down on back and put the pillows under the knees. If this doesn’t provide much help, than bring the knees up even higher with more pillows or one can even use a chair. If a person has a bolster, that will also work. Pull the knees above the chest; it will tremendously relieve the pressure from the lower back. One can even try to sleep in this position.

2. Another thing — is a heating pad which gives relaxation to lower back pain. One can use it for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Sometimes ice may also be applied.

3. Massage is also advisable in this case; it will help in giving some relief from the pain. During the massage blood reaches to all the muscles and thus releases tension. A Thai Massage also known as Lazy Man’s Yoga would be better for the condition like this.

4. If the pain is somewhat chronic, than it is advisable to do some stretching exercises regularly. Physical therapy and some yoga will definitely help out. Few examples of exercises that help to stretch the lower back are Child’s pose, Half Happy Baby, Standing Forward Bend, and Double Pigeon. Some yoga poses like Wheel, Camel, and Upward Facing Dog will provide strength to the back.

5. Always try to be fit because extra weight will harm your spine as it put more strain on it, and thus cause pain, so do regular exercise and maintain an ideal weight that your body structure demands. This will provide help in preventing any future injury.
