Extreme use of computer may cause glaucoma in myopic people

Working on computer for a long period may raise the risk of glaucoma in myopic people. According to Japanese scientists of Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo, extreme use of computer, along with smoking and high blood pressure are the probable risk factors for glaucoma in short-sighted people.

The British Journal of Ophthalmology has published the report. The scientists say, further that public health professional should concentrate more on the link of myopia and risk of glaucoma in extreme computer users.
