A conservation conference held in Madagascar has revealed that the terrifying Ebola virus may not be limited to the African continent. It may have an outbreak in European countries too.
Dr. Robert Swanepoel, from South Africa’s National Institute for communicable diseases, says that Africa’s bush meat trade is widespread, and often goes as far as Paris or London. Bush meat is one known way of transmitting the virus.
The resulting outbreak could be horrifying. The Ebola virus, with a 90% fatality rate, causes the internal organs to liquefy. After a few days, blood starts coming from all bodily orifices, including the eyes.
