Early Puberty in Girls Triggering: Blame Stress And Obesity

Stress may lead a girl to reach puberty earlier! Unhealthy lifestyle and unstable family environment too, contribute towards early puberty. Researchers from Bristol, UK claim so. It is when a girl in the UK is only ten years and three months old, puberty onsets.

Tracing back onset of puberty, it is found that girls in the UK are reaching puberty one and a half years before their mothers did. Not only this, they are also found to experienced the onset two years more before their grandmothers did. And it seems that this trend (puberty starting earlier) is still in the process of advancement.

Even before they are eight years old, over 15% of girls are reaching puberty, researchers found. It is found that a stressful home-life made it more likely that a girl would experience early puberty. Compared to girls who live with their biological fathers, case studies found girls living with a stepfather more likely to enter puberty earlier than.
