Contraceptives could kick away endometrial caner!

Women using oral contraceptives and intrauterine devices (IUD) may keep them away from endometrial cancer. This fact has crept out of a new study conducted in China.

For this study, researchers studied about 1,204 women with newly diagnosed endometrial cancer and about 1,212 women without this type of caner. Researchers concluded that the use of oral contraceptives was associated with a 25 per cent reduced risk and after using oral contraceptives drugs for a much longer period of 72 months the cancer risk reduced to 50 per cent.

The good thing about the use of these oral contraceptive drugs was that even after 25 years too these drugs were found full of protective efficacy. In addition, the use of IUD reduced the risk of endometrial cancer about 47 percent.

Personally, I believe that this new finding may prove a flambeau for the researchers, under the light of which they may carve out a new pathway to new findings making human life happier and healthier.
