Can food be a healthy stress-buster?

Have you ever gobbled chocolates after chocolates to get over your depression? Do you seek food as a retreat from your stressful mundane? If food is your stress-buster then let the world hear what you eat to get the tension off your head. Although the so-called ‘health-pundits’ will not be the ones who will be quite happy with the foods that act as comfort foods, nevertheless someone can enjoy from such an experience.

A simple, left-over chapati filled with grated cheese and ketchup and rolled and dashed into the microwave can make quite an energizing snack though some people may say it is sheer “crappy” food. There are no limits as to how people perceive food but nevertheless there is one fact no one can deny and that is, some of the most relished delicacies of the world are just modified versions of the crappy food.

Cooking up a simple, lip-smacking snack from leftovers unexpectedly can be quite a refreshing experience. The foods we indulge in to lighten our mood do not necessarily have to be unhealthy. Everyone knows how to make innovations to their favourite foods keeping in mind their health. I guess one reason why we so often indulge in foods that are unhealthy is because we are often told not to do so. It is human tendency to do always break away from the rules.

So give yourself a break and enjoy the indulgence in food that appeals to your senses and moods, after all even the diet plans recommend that after abiding to strict dieting rules for six days of the week, the seventh day can be your feast day.
