Exposure to pesticides may fling you to Parkinson’s risk

exposure to pesticides 64
Pesticides that we use to kill pests are actually; conspiring against us, by increasing our susceptibility to paralyzing disease Parkinson’s, up to 40 per cent. A new study, which is stated to be first of its kind, came out heralding this stunning fact. Results of this new study are based on an analysis of around 959 people of the five European countries, which include Scotland, Italy, Sweden, Romania and Malta.

As per the findings of this study:-

Those who exposed to low levels of pesticides were 1.13 times susceptible to Parkinson’s disease.

Those with high exposure to pesticides were 1.41 times susceptible to Parkinson’s disease.

Those who had been knocked unconscious once were 1.35 times susceptible to Parkinson’s disease.

In those knocked unconscious more than once risk of Parkinson’s disease was 2.53 times higher.

A look at these facts shows that that how badly exposure to these pesticides affects our health, as low level of exposure to these pesticides is enough to put a person at an increased risk of Parkinson’s disease. Actually, studies have confirmed that a majority of pesticides are neurotoxic therefore, affects brain as well as other body parts quite adversely.

However, what exposes mankind to these deadly pesticides is the fact that only 5% of the pesticides sprayed reach targeted weeds, while rest runs off into water or dissipates in the air, which directly or indirectly is absorbed by the human body. In the recent years mankind’s exposure to these deadly pesticides has increased alarmingly, which is confirmed by the fact that in the US alone around 16 million Americans have developed acute sensitiveness to these pesticides, following the fact that their immune systems have been damaged as a result of prior pesticide exposure.

Actually, this enhanced exposure to pesticides could be attributed to the myth that has been sprent among the farmers that chemical pesticides are essential for modern farming and to prevent the world from deadly famine, while in reality constant use of these pesticides has weaken the ecosystem by damaging soil microbes and eliminating beneficial insects and predators.

And if we focus our attention just on their (pesticides’) association with enhanced risk of Parkinson’s disease then we could say that situation is going to exacerbate further as already number of patients with Parkinson’s disease is touching new scores by and by, which could be cited form the fact that in Britain alone there are around 120,000 patients with this paralyzing disease, while in the US around 1 to 1 1/2 million people are with Parkinson’s disease.
