Can developing countries keep away from using non-stick surfaces linked to developmental problems?

linked to developmental problems 9Health awareness has created a boom in the non-stick utensil industries across the world. But, do you know that the perfluorooctanoic acid (or pentadecafluorooctanoic acid or PFOA) which is used in making non-stick surfaces link developmental problems?!

This chemical is used in dyes, paints and fire-fighting foam. Though it is traditionally used as a processing aid for manufacturing metal surfaces and non-stick cookware, in such cases, the chemical may be present in just small amounts in the products’ end a residue, Australia’s industrial chemicals regulator NICNAS explains.

The non-stick frying pans and baking trays, thus, need to be phased out immediately to avoid the health hazards going out of control! But, even if possible in the developed countries, will it be possible for the developing counterparts to brave politics and huge money involved with the non-stick utensil producing industry?
