Breaking up poses health hazard for older women

As per recent research by Dr. Bronwen Lichtenstein, University of Albama , women over 35 years of age face health hazards after the breakup of a long-term relationship. un
Sometimes, a breakup can have a longer lasting effect than the relationship itself and we know that it makes us miserable but now researches have thrown light on serious health problems that females divorced , widowed or separated from partners face after a break up.

The end of a relationship has a bad effect on both women’s and men’s mental health. But the heartbreak lasts longer for women. And unlike men, starting a new relationship doesn’t make it all better. This is especially true for women who’ve been through multiple breakups. Along with broken hearts these women suffer from problems like depression, insomnia and eating disorders. They try to get back into the dating scene but find that the rules have changed since their times. Also the fear of rejection gnaws at them and they start loosing self confidence.

Whether you’re the breaker or the breakee — or even if the break up is totally mutual, ending a relationship is painful. The first step of dealing with the situation is to accept things as they have happened. The second step is to start coping with the situation. Confidence is the key to face relationship issues. It is very important to find other things to do and find a satisfying life of your own. Communicate honestly with close friends, let out all your feelings through words. Keeping things pent up inside is the first step towards sinking into a depression.
