Say no to vaginal rejuvenation

say no to vaginal rejuvenation

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has warned women not to unnecessarily undergo the procedure of vaginal rejuvenation. According to them neither is the process not routine in nature, but it is medically unsafe too.

Vaginal rejuvenation is also known as revirgination and designer vaginoplasty. For those who are unaware, vaginal rejuvenation is the procedure where the vaginal canal is narrowed by removing layers of lining in order to give the person the feeling of a tighter vagina. Laser or a scalpel is generally used to perform this surgery.

Even though the procedure has the tag of rejuvenation, it is hardly so, because it is unable to bring your body back into its younger state. Revirgination only changes the shape and the size of the vaginal canal; it does not change its nature. There is no scientific evidence available till date that vaginal rejuvenation helps in any way to improve sexual pleasures.

Unfortunately, in spite of no apparent benefits the popularity of vaginoplasty has been increasing over the years. No wonder the term designer vagina is so much in vogue now!

Dr. Abbey Berenson said,

there are always risks associated with a surgical procedure. It’s important that women understand the potential risks of these procedures and that there is no scientific evidence regarding their benefits.

Not only does vaginal rejuvenation burn a hole in your pocket (it costs anywhere from $5,500 to $8,500), it is usually not covered under medical insurance.

Are you keen to improve your sex life? If yes, instead of undergoing any surgery, tighten your sex muscles by doing the Kegel exercises, and most importantly spend some time in getting to know the likes and dislikes of your partner. Try it, I am sure it will work wonders for you, because, sexual happiness is more in the mind than in physical appearance.
