Nobody wants to hear words “Bland Diet“. The diet is quite harsh and strict. The most difficult part is that you have to eat majority of the foods that have no taste at all. The diet is also known as Acid Reflux Bland Diet.

The diet is recommended to those people who suffer from acid reflux. The diet includes foods that are easy for the stomach to digest. These foods do not produce acids in large quantity. Fried and seasoned foods are banned to consume in this diet because they can cause killer acid reflux attack.

By eliminating these foods, you will experience heartburn and acid reflux less often. Bland Diet is not popular because not many people are able to continue the diet regularly. People find it hard to resist the temptation to eat foods of their likings. Consuming a piece of chocolate cake will lead to immense pain so you must avoid all such foods.

There are few foods allowed on this diet that have delicious taste and nutrition. Apple and applesauce is a beneficial food on to eat on this diet. Apple juice and dried apples are also easy on stomach. You can drink milk while being on Bland Diet. Soy milk is allowed to consume.

Choose lean meat to prepare meals at home. It will allow your stomach to do less exertion in order to digest the food. Greasy foods lead to acid reflux so avoid having them. Skinless chicken breast is a good option to include in this diet. Fish can be used to prepare delicious dinner meals

You must avoid consuming alcoholic beverages. Tea and coffee must also be eliminated from your daily diet. For snack option, you can eat fat free potato chips or cookies that have not been fried. Use sea salt rather than iodized salt to control acid reflux.
