Are McDonald and KFC not serious about U.S. fat problem?

French fries or hot wings in U.S., a study reveals, may contain trans fats more than anywhere else on the globe. Consumption of trance fats usually helps in artery blockage. The study further reveals that variations in trans fats content varies place to place depending upon the type of frying oil used.

It has also been detected that partially hydrogenated vegetable oil contains high trans fats. McDonald’s Corp earlier in 2002 had promised to cut trans fat to half. However, the companies involved in this business argue that it depends on local taste preferences. But consumer activists reasons out that it’s all about money since frying oil high in trans fats are considerably cheap.
