InCase Headphones for your musical years

Grow with Dr Prem

If you’re a MAC fan then surely you would have heard of InCase. The brand is fabled for creating great-looking(and feeling) laptop cases (and hence the name). Recently, InCase has decided to enter the audio business with its brand new range of headphones. At the first look, we can say that the design of the headphones is very much appreciated. Its minimalist build and design will surely attract many of us.

Features:

InCase has introduced four sets of headphones:

1. Sonic

For a refined audio experience, no matter what kind you listen to, Sonic (over-the-ear) delivers some high performance acoustics combined with comfort and a graceful build. It is made up of titanium, audio drivers and its ear cups are specifically designed to suit the ear for a comfortable fit.

2. Reflex

Comfortable over-the-ear headphones but with an additional padding for an even better fit over the ears. Reflex has a more refined look. The headband is crafted uniquely for a better tactile experience. A flexible steel core underneath it provides it with robustness and an easy fit over the ears.

3. Pivot

On-the-ear headphones for those who are on-the-go. This set of headphones are best for people with a very active lifestyle but prefer the feel of on-the-ear headphones. This model is rough, robust and durable. The earcups can rotate flat for you to easily pack into your bag. Pivot has the same audio drivers as the Reflex. So its basically a matter of your lifestyle which will help you choose one over the other. Because of their design which is more minimalist that the Reflex (a lighter headband and no suede cushions around the earcups), they are lighter and more easy to handle and care for than the Reflex. Pivots are the most minimalist amongst the three headphones with headbands.

4. Capsule

The classic in-the-ear headphones. These headphones are an ear bud affair which have an oval profile to suit the ear canal. The oval shape fits the tube-like structure of the inner ear and hence don’t fall out constantly. This kind of fit will ensure better sound isolation and source audio accuracy. Capsules come in three different eartip sizes. You can take your pick amongst them as per your convenience.

High points:

No doubt the first thing you notice about these headphones is the ergonomics. Beautiful design without compromising on the durability and robustness. InCase has invested a lot of time (and money) to find the best kind of materials to fit the ear perfectly and deliver the best in audio. The memory foams used on the Sonic and Reflex models form around the ear to give a comfortable fit. Capsules come with an integrated mic and volume control and you can take your calls on your iPhone, iPad, etc. The design of the remote is quite intuitive and the click of the buttons are quite nice.

Price:

Sonic earphones are the expensive ones priced at $199.95. The Reflex and Pivot are priced at $79.95 and $59.95. The Capsules are priced at $49.95. The headphones are priced reasonably as per their builds so that Apple geeks don’t feel like its highway robbery. Definitely consider purchasing InCase headphones for their unique design, build and ofcourse, the acoustics!
