School based vaccination programs for kids can protect communities

Kids are 10 to 100 times more infectious than adults, and if we vaccinate them then efforts to prevent families form flu can prove more effective. A new study, published in this week’s New England Journals of Medicine has come up with these findings.

During the course of this study, researchers tracked children of about 24 public elementary and schools and found that families of those children who got shots of flu vaccine had fewer symptoms of flu. In addition, these families used less medication and visited doctors less frequently while results of the families of the children with no flu vaccination were opposite.

On the basis of these findings, researchers are quite confident to say that if kids are mainly focused for flu vaccination then results that are more exciting could be obtained. Moreover, these flu vaccinations are quite safe for kids. Therefore, there is no reason to worry about the use of these flu vaccinations.

Suggestion exhibited by the researchers should not be taken lightly because acting on these suggestions; we may achieve results that are more prolific. These suggestions should be followed in countries like U.S.A where about 36,000 people die annually of flu there, which is a preventable disease.
