Disney To Link Product Promotion To Nutrition

Walt Disney has also come out to hold up the growing concerns of parents about child nutrition and it has declared that very soon it will estrange itself from food products that are not touching nutritional standards and are playing havoc with kids’ health.

In the words of Margo G. Wootan, the nutrition policy director at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, an advocacy group in Washington:

Disney characters will not show up on Pop-Tarts, waffles and fruit snacks. This will allow parents to feed their children more healthfully.

This is really commendable step taken by Walt Disney, especially at the time when everybody is baffled by the effervescing increase in junk foods. This will surely allow parents to take a sigh of relief.
