Vitamin E may cut down your smoking risks…keep puffing…no!

A new study has come out putting forward the fact that vitamin E may prevent middle-aged smokers from death due to cancer and heart diseases. However, it is important to know that this new finding stands head to head to some studies conducted earlier.

To come up with these conclusions, researchers studied about 29,092 Finnish men smokers between the age 50s and 60s and found that vitamin E was playing a significant role in keeping them away from cancer and heart disease. Along with that, vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that boosts up immune system and prevent tumor growth as well. Through this study, it has become apparent that men with higher level of Vitamin E are less likely to die compared with the men with low level of vitamin E.

This is really a wonderful finding but I think still it requires some more evidences to prove it more firmly because several studies conducted earlier counter this view.
