Caffeine lovers find a cup of coffee the easiest available form of caffeine. Though most of us enjoy the taste and the strong aroma of coffee, very few of us would wish to get it associated with the word ‘narcotic’ or ‘addiction’ ‘ considered a social a taboo.
A bit of headache and a day’s weariness are the most sober reasons to take a pinch of that extra caffeine. But, do you know, most of us actually take caffeine more than what we knowingly intake!
Yes, besides those popular energy drinks, there are many non-beverage products in the market which are now caffeinated, and that too, on purpose! And, to your surprise, soaps are now the ‘must mention’ in the list of caffeinated product. For example, it’s the ‘Shower Shock’ — the first caffeinated soap.
One shower with the caffeinated soap is enough to give you 200 milligrams of caffeine. Ah! This is more than a cup of coffee!
This is not all! The other daily-use products are lip balm, sunflower seeds and, needs mentioning, the doughnuts frosting, which is also caffeinated.
But, how many of us know of the consequences of this extra buzz in the long run?
More caffeine means, more coffee and drinks, — leading to lowering one’s night sleep. This in turn, increases the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and even breast cancer!
So, it’s for you to choose between that ‘extra energy buzz’ or a ‘healthful future’.
