Surprise! survey finds older people happier than younger

An online survey has come with another disclosure that old age people are happier than younger people have. The findings challenge the previous hypothesis that happiness reduce with the growing age.

Heather Pond Lacey, the study author at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Michigan, says that by using a 1-to-10 scaling method we found that the younger age group reported at an average of 6.65 while the older groups were at 7.32.

The ‘Journal of Happiness Studies’ has published the detail of the study. On the other hand, the author accredited that online survey may exclude older people who may be under par or unsociable to take part in online survey.
