Superwoman: a working woman is a healthier woman

30years ago, Shirley Conran wrote the best-selling book, ‘Superwoman’, which promoted mental well-being over physical health. A new research from University College London holds same views. It says that superwomen of mid age are noticeably healthier than those women at home. The study also found that superwomen were least prone to be obese in their mid age than unmarried or childless women.

The research study, based on about 1,000 British women born in March 1946, was published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. On the other hand, women who had children, husbands or partners, reported less ill health than the women who had not fulfilled all three roles.

Women get lazy at home. Women who work or have children have to be active all the time. Women have a tendency to finish the food their children don’t eat. They make themselves fit with these indirect activities they do for their kids and husbands.
