Sex reporting blocked after court ruling

A U.S. court has ruled in a class action suit that Kansas laws do not require healthcare workers to report sexual activity of those under 16.

U.S. District Judge J. Thomas Marten in Wichita said that the reporting of consensual sex among teenagers should stop. Otherwise it would discourage them from seeking medical care. Center for Reproductive Rights, who brought the action, told that the ruling is very important. It is the first assurance of constitutional protection for adolescents to communicate with healthcare workers.
