PKU Diet has proven more effective than medication for numerous people around the globe. The diet is a low protein diet. All the high protein foods must be avoided in this diet. Some of the main foods to eliminate are meat, eggs, milk, poultry, and cheese.

PKU Diet Explained

  • Nuts, cheese, eggs, fish, and meat are rich in protein so avoid them.
  • Other protein-rich banned foods are cereals, milk, and potato.
  • Some fruits, veggies, and salads can be consumed in moderate quantities.
  • You can freely consume fats, syrups, and sugars.
  • Low protein bread, flour, pasta, spaghetti, and biscuits are extremely beneficial to eat.
  • Minerals and vitamins should be included in the form of supplements.
