Paleo Diet

The paleo diet is also known as the Caveman diet. This diet promotes the eating routine of our ancestors during the Paleolithic era. Many diets are just too complicated, but the paleo diet is rather simple.

You can combine any ingredients such as:

meat
seafood
vegetables (except green peas and beans)
fruits
nuts (except peanuts)
eggs

The best part of the paleo is the fact that you can eat in any quantity and combination the ingredients above. Just maintain a regular meal schedule to help your digestion. Drinking water is encouraged, tea also but mostly green. If you crave for some milk you can drink a bit of soya milk.

Anything that the cavemen were able to hunt or grab from the ground is allowed !
This ancestral menu will help you optimize your health and lose weight. It’s important to remember that this is not just a diet but a lifestyle trend.

You don’t have to run and hunt your meals !

Food might be the answer to why many years ago our ancestors didn’t
suffer from the chronic illnesses and diseases we encounter today. Although the paleo diet is strongly influenced by the eating habits of the cavemen, it’s not based on imitating what our ancestors did.

The paleo diet is a healthy way of living so it might also prove efficient in the treatment for: autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, acne, myopia, gastric reflex, varicose veins, type 2 diabetes and even cancer. But these facts don’t have a scientific support.

For more that 2.6 million years the human body evolved with the nourishment found in nature. The big difference is that our ancestors ate food high in animal fat, proteins and low in carbohydrates, while we eat food rich in saturated fat and high in carbohydrates and sugar. Now the digestive system has a difficult task to deal with all these unnatural foods and we tend to get sick often.

The paleo diet is a path back to the basics, to the natural way of eating.
