Multiple sclerosis or MS that is among the most common nerve disorders affecting young adults, especially women can be prevented with the help of vitamin D. A new study by the researchers that studied the impact of vitamin D on the members of U.S. military has stated this. During this study, fact became known that members of U.S. military with highest level of vitamin D in the blood were 62 percent less likely to develop multiple sclerosis. Studies conducted earlier have also made it clear that higher level of vitamin D brings down the chances of several types of cancer and as all we know that sun is the biggest source of vitamin D so, we should avail this natural source of vitamin D.
As far as results of this study are concerned, it could be said that it has now been pegged down that vitamin D is quite effective in fending off the symptoms as well as chances of multiple sclerosis. Moreover, it is a good news for thousands of patients with symptoms of multiple sclerosis. But as these results have sprung out from a preliminary study, therefore, it would also not be right to go only with these results.
