Mobiles connecting people with psychological problems

mobilephone 64Teens using mobile phones extensively for gossiping and sending messages to their friends may easily be overrun by the spate of several psychological problems. A new study revealed this after surveying people between the ages 18 to 35 years of age.

Actually, craze for mobile phones has emerged as an addiction in the recent years increasing people’s vulnerability to psychological disorders. Comparing addiction of mobile phone use with alcohol addiction probably won’t be wrong. The only difference is that where alcohol addiction tells upon physical health; mobile phone addiction tells upon psychological health. However, this addiction is more complex, especially when it comes to treatment as the following words of Francisca Lopez Torrecillas, a lecturer at the department of personality and psychological assessment and treatment of the University of Granada states:

Mobile-addicts can be seriously affected at the psychological level but as they don’t show any physical symptoms, their disorder goes unnoticed to others.

The vogue of using mobile phones irrationally is quite deplorable, which could be cited from the fact that about 40 per cent young adults use mobile phones for more than 4 hours in a day. Moreover, a big percentage of such young adults complain of being mentally upset, which adds to the reliability of this finding. Besides, several studies conducted earlier have also unmasked various other side effects of intensive mobile use. Give a look here:-
