Lets know what causes nightmares

Nightmares are a type of sleep disruption which is characterized by frightening psychological content. It always provokes a feeling of any physical danger with a sense of being trapped somewhere. Stressful events that happen throughout the day can cause dreams into nightmares. It is common among kids.

Nightmares are experienced by everyone at one or the other point of their life. Few guys may experience it more often.

If a person has the problem of nightmare it could lead to poor sleep and anxiety, thus giving invitation to a number of health problems.

There are some factors given below that can cause nightmares:

– Going to bed just after having lunch or dinner, can raise brain activity.

– If a person has any fear or a feeling of insecurity or stress in the mind it may occur.

– It can occur in those people whose life has gone through major setback like death, any accident of near and dear ones.

– If there is any injury or illness, like fever.

– It may occur sometimes due to the side effect from a medicine he/she is taking or in case of medical crisis too or rapid withdrawal from drugs.

– If a person is trying to avoid alcohol consumption than might due to body demand and restlessness nightmare may occur or may be due to excess alcohol intake.

– If a person has the breathing problems like sleep apnea than it may occur.

– If there is sleeping disorders, like narcolepsy than there are also chances of its occurrence.

To avoid nightmare — people should make some routines in their life and try to follow it. Try not sleep during daytime; avoid eating food or any exercise before going to bed. Try to discuss the nightmares with your relatives, parents, and friends, anyone who understands u better.
