Many of us believe that we have a sensitive skin that reacts to these beauty products and causes irritation in the eyes and cause skin allergies.

But this could not necessarily be due to sensitive skin, but a natural reaction of the chemicals and preservatives used in these beauty products. Study shows that more 60% of whatever we apply is absorbed by the skin. The mascaras and eye shadows that are applied on the eyes enter the body through the soft membranes covering the eyeballs. The lipstick that is applied on the lips enters the mouth.

It is estimated that if a person applies lipstick every day, about 60 kilos of lipstick enters the body in a lifetime. The hair sprays and the deodorants and perfumes used are directly inhaled. This would not be an issue if the ingredients used in these cosmetics and beauty products was natural but unfortunately these are made of chemicals and substance which is harmful to health.
