Illegal Immigrants' Children's Access to Medicaid to be made easier in U.S.

illegal immigrants 64Recently news came out, stating that citizens without essential documents are not fit for Medicaid, which ignited concern among people, especially among the immigrants who were running short of essential documents. No doubt, this rule regarding Medicaid was aimed at curbing the influx of illegal immigrants but it was touted as an unethical step by the government.

However, now it seems that Bush administration has relented to make these norms somewhat more flexible than before. Perhaps that is the reason why Bush administration is planning to issue a rule making it easier for the infants of non-citizens to gain access to services covered through Medicaid. This decision by the Bush administration is utterly going to change the previous ruling, which stated, automatic status would not extend to infants whose delivery was covered through emergency Medicaid.

In my opinion, this is quite a commendable step, which Bush administration is planning to have, since it would help infants of the illegal immigrants to avail Medicaid.
