Hormonal imbalance explains higher rates of breast cancer in post-menopausal women

A report of USC has thrown out a fact that natural level of estrogen can be one of the radical reasons behind the emergence of breast cancer.

These researchers found that different races of human have different percentages of breast cancer patients. They further revealed that native Hawaiians were most vulnerable to breast cancer because post-menopausal Hawaiian women had the highest levels of circulating estrogens. Japanese-Americans post-menopausal women had the second-highest breast cancer risk.

According to USC researchers:

Latinas had similar hormone profiles to whites, but their risk of breast cancer was the lowest of the groups studied.

The study evinces that natural level of hormone in a woman may determine risk of breast cancer.
