Hiccups can be a sign of Cancer too

Hiccupping, weight-loss and swallowing can be a sign of cancer of the esophagus. But it is not recognized as yet by the medical experts.

Professor Tom Walsh, of the James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Dublin, stated that hiccups in cancer patients can be linked to phrenic nerve. It is the motor nerve of diaphragm. Irish researcher has done a study on 99 patients with the disease of esophagus cancer. They found 27 percent of them are having hiccups problem.
