Healthcare System in Hungary

The health system in Hungary is mirrored after the nationalized system of the Great Britain. The Hungarian National Healthcare fund was created in 1993 and remains to be the public organization controlling the management of health care. With 83% of the funding being generated through taxes and general revenues, this system is mandatory for all employed individuals. The private sector, on the other hand, works on a pay out of pocket system unlike the UK which has a private insurance scheme.

Quality of Healthcare in Hungary

Medical and dental facilities in the private sector are equipped with the latest technology and facilities. This is mainly due to the influence of the German patients who have been visiting the country for over fifteen years to take advantage of affordable prices for their dental and surgical needs.

Hungary is famous among other European nations for its highly qualified medical professional teachings and international medical practice. The practicing requirement for doctors and dentists remain to be strict in order to continue and maintain the quality care. The facilities might lack international accreditations like JCI, but are locally accredited and licensed by Hungarian Ministry of Health.
