How to know about good and bad carbs?

Can anyone explain which carb is better to take between good carbs and bad carbs when trying to put on muscle mass? I am trying to bulk up and I take clean carbs all day like sweet potato, grits, oatmeal, etc. Will it be ok to have some bad carbs too? What are the differences that make one better than the other? Please suggest what foods are good carbs and what foods are bad carbs?
