Elimination diet

Food is good if you eat it to survive. However, not every food is beneficial for humans. Some foods are allergic to humans when it comes to health. Elimination Diet is where you exclude unhealthy, allergic, and inappropriate foods.

Principle of Elimination Diet
The diet is required to be followed for 3 to 4 weeks. You need to avoid consuming a few foods from specific food groups in order to gain health. However, you have the option of plenty of substitutes for the foods which are excluded from your diet.

Fruits and Vegetables
  From the fruits category, citrus fruits such as lime, orange, grapefruit, and lemon must be avoided. From the vegetables, you are not allowed to consume potatoes, eggplant, and tomatoes. You may opt for sweet potato and yams along with other veggies and fruits.

Nuts, Legumes, and Starch
Dieters are not allowed to consume foods like barley, corn, wheat, Kamut, rye, oats, and spelled. You may opt for rice and buckwheat. You also need to avoid consuming nuts/seeds, soybeans, soy milk, lentils, beans, peas, and tofu.

Dairy Products and Meat
– Canned meat, cold cuts, beef, chicken, shellfish, bacon, and pork must be eliminated from the diet if you wish to attain health. Meat substitutes made from soy should be ignored as well. You are allowed to consume wild-caught fish, lamb and turkey. From dairy products, yogurt, eggs, dairy creamer, butter, cream, cheese, and milk must be avoided. You may consume rice milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.

Sweeteners, Spices, Fats, and Drinks
 Eliminate margarine, spreads, mayonnaise, and butter. You may prepare food with the inclusion of olive oil, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil. Say no to alcohol and caffeine. Drink 2 to 4 liters of water daily. Herbal tea is good to consume. Avoid bbq sauce, chocolate, relish, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, chutney, and mustard. You are allowed to include sea salt and fresh spices to your food.
