Down syndrome detection in fetus

A medical finding few days back had depicted that a child might be affected with Down’s syndrome in the mother’s womb, a recent study in The Scotsman speaks about prenatal screening that would depict Down’s syndrome thereby, preparing the parents to tackle the child born with the condition or to go for an abortion before the development of the fetus.
The screening can be done by Nuchal translucency, the triple screen test, or by a detailed ultrasound.

Dr.Barbara.P.Homeier
gives the possible diagnosis of the Down’s syndrome but these tests will be of no avail until a wider screening is arranged for across the nation…it is better for the NHS Executive to consider the 38,000 women waiting to get the fetal tests done.
