Common ways people spoil healthy breakfast

Breakfast is an important meal to kick-start your day. There is huge gap between dinner and breakfast. These gap leads to proper assimilation of your previous day meal. However, it even creates a blank in your stomach, which sometime leads to acidity. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, so a proper care should be taken to prepare it. Improper breakfast can often lead to indigestion that will surely spoil your complete day. Insufficient breakfast can make you feel lethargic destroying your whole work routine. Therefore, you need to know the points that make the breakfast practices improper or insufficient.

1. Skipping the breakfast

The foremost point to remember is to avoid skipping breakfast. There is a gap of at least 10 hours between the dinner and the breakfast. The body may not need the energy on those sleeping hours but the digestion process continues in its own pace. In the morning, you will feel the dryness in your food pipe making it difficult to drink water. Similarly, the stomach also gets empty causing excessive acid accumulation. Prolonged skipping breakfast habit can often lead to stomach ulcer. Therefore, even if you are not feeling well, you should at least start with drinking warm water to soothe your food pipe and dilute the stomach acidity. A light breakfast is always advisable even if you are suffering from indigestion.

2. Eating sugary meals

You should always avoid eating too much sugar in your breakfast. If you are diabetic then you should completely avoid sugar. Research have proves that eating sweet breakfast can reduce your mental performance. Moreover, why pay extra money to buy sweetened cereal when you can actually use sugar according to your taste requirement. In addition, another popular research proved that women eating too sweet breakfast burns lesser fat. Now, surely the women will avoid the sweet breakfast.

3. Missing proteins

Proteins are the body building nutrients. Eating a breakfast without proteins is a very bad habit, as the body needs to work the whole day. Without the protein, body will utilize the amino acids from other useful body processes to run your working day. Proteins are slowly digested, so it will surely reduce your hungers largely.

4. Insufficient knowledge about eating habits

There is no need to follow a book to know the quantity of breakfast you should eat. There is a popular notion that breakfast should be heavy. This is true for cold countries but it is not at all true for hot and humid regions. In cold countries, the digestion process occurs slower, which allows slow release of sugar to your body while in hot regions the food is rapidly assimilated giving a high dose of sugar. This high dose of sugar, if not used, gets itself stored in the form of glycogen or fat. Moreover, in hot countries you will uneasy with lot of food in your stomach. Therefore, all the meals including breakfast should be light and regularly spaced.

5. Eating processed foods and fats

There is no alternative of light cooking when it comes to breakfast. Eating processed food should be always avoided in any meal including your breakfast. Eating a lot of fat with breakfast also triggers the chance of indigestion. The long gap between dinner and breakfast reduce the enzyme load in the digestive track, so eating fat and processed meat is not a health habit. Apart from that, it increases the risk of heart diseases and cancers.

6. Avoiding the whole grain

Whole grain cereals give sufficient amount of starch and roughage to your body. They are even easy to digest. If you avoid the cereals, you will always feel an energy shortage in your body. These cereals also help in proper bowel movement. Therefore, avoiding cereals can also lead to improper digestion and weakness.

7. Avoiding vitamins and mineral

People often avoid fruits, milk and vegetables in the breakfast. The milk is great source of protein, vitamins and mineral while fruits and vegetables are of carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. The vitamins and mineral are a must for running the completely enzymatic system of our body. If the body lacks vitamins and mineral, these enzymatic processes stop working. Prolonged habit can often lead to weakness and uneasiness. Therefore, avoiding a glass of milk, fruit salad or fresh vegetable salad in a breakfast is never advisable.
