Is coconut milk recommended when on a low carbohydrate diet?

I am allergic to dairy products and I face problems in digesting food as well. I am 17 years old now, and my mom had given me almond milk so far for my health, however, after I read about the health benefits of coconut milk, I thought of switching over to it. Moreover, it is distinctly cheaper than almond milk. However, since I am on a low carbohydrate diet these days, I was kind of wary about choosing coconut milk for my regular diet. I would like to know from some health and fitness expert whether you would recommend coconut milk when on low carbohydrate diet. Please advice appropriately. Thanks.
