China criticized the United States on the ground of not dispensing the samples of bird flu virus with the rest of the world that can prove beneficial in saving several lives.
According to a spokesman at Agriculture Ministry of China, 20 samples to be ready for tests in US lab but it has not rendered the essential import procedures. US government gives approval of import only to the samples that are not diagnosed and the samples to be sent by China were diagnosed, causing delay.
As told by WHO spokesman, China hasn’t provided the live viruses, rather only genetic sequencing of viruses. And genetic sequencing only provides the clue regarding altering and changing of viruses. Live viruses are required so as to test drug on them as well as to develop a vaccine for it.
An inquiry can be made to China regarding the live virus to ascertain whether inherited from it causing widespread in other countries.
As told by Julie Hall, expert from WHO that the matter is not to placed to blame anyone rather collective efforts are required to figure out the disease to save lives.
