For making this dish, an individual requires two eggs, eight ounces of mozzarella cheese, one tablespoon of non-fat milk, one cup of bread crumbs, two tablespoon of garlic powder, two tablespoons of Italian seasoning, one tablespoon of cut parsley and one fourth cup of flour. The cheese must be cut into cubes. In a pan the person should mix the milk and eggs and beat it nicely. In another pan, bread crumbs, garlic powder Italian seasoning and cut parsley must be mixed. The cheese cubes must be first covered with flour and then in the egg mixture and finally in the bread crumbs mixture. The process must be repeated again. This should be covered with a foil and kept in the fridge for two to three hours. The oven should be pre-heated to four hundred degrees and the cheese cubes must be placed in a baking sheet. The baking should be done until it becomes crisp and then kept aside for a few minutes before serving.

Berry delight

This is a refreshing drink and also has calcium content in it. For this, you need a cup of yogurt, two tablespoons of raspberry or strawberry jam, a cup of water and a cup of frozen raspberry or strawberry. For this, you need two pounds of grounded beef, two eggs, one cup non-fat milk, one medium sized onion diced, half a cup of Italian styled bread crumbs, two tablespoons salt and half teaspoon of garlic powder. The ingredients must be blended well together and formed into a loaf batter. Then it should be baked in a loaf or roasting pan for one hour at a temperature of 350 degrees. This meat loaf is not only tasty to eat during tea time but also contains large amounts of calcium.

Oriental omelet

For making this omelet, you need ten ounces of tofu, three beaten eggs, one tablespoon of soy sauce, one fourth teaspoon of honey, one tablespoon of sesame oil, three large fresh sliced mushrooms and two chopped green onions. The first four ingredients must be mixed well in a bowl first. Oil should be heated in a large non stick pan. The mushrooms and green onion must be added. For making this dish, you need a pound of broccoli, one tablespoon of vegetable oil, one clove of minced garlic, half tablespoon salt, one tablespoon of dry sherry, half teaspoon of sugar, three tablespoons of chicken broth and half cup water. The broccoli should be rinsed in cold water. It should be cut into small pieces and the stems should be sliced. The oil should be heated and the broccoli stems must be added and fried for about thirty seconds. Next the broccoli pieces must be added. After frying for one minute, wine, sugar, broth and water must be added to it. The heat must be reduced and cooked until the water gets dried up. This should be served hot.

Strawberry spinach salad

Strawberries and spinach are very good sources of calcium and can be eaten in the raw or cooked form. A salad using both makes a delicious recipe for the senior citizens. For making this salad, you need spinach, strawberries, salt, pepper, sugar and raspberry red wine vinegar. The spinach and strawberries must be sliced and mixed with salt, pepper and sugar. After mixing with these ingredients, the raspberry red wine vinegar must be poured on top of it and then mixed well before serving.

Spinach smoothies
