Breast-fed kids fight well with stress in later life

Breast-fed children fights better with stress in later life than those fed from a bottle. According to Dr Scott Montgomery, the epidemiologist who led the research, Breastfed children are almost twice as likely to be anxious if their parents are divorcee compared to those who stayed together.

But children who had been bottle-fed were more than nine times as likely to be anxious as those whose parents had happy married life.

Breast-fed children were 10% less stressed if their parents divorced than those who were not breastfed.

The findings, published in the BMJ journal, the Archives of Disease in Childhood.

The UK Department of Health has issued an advice to mothers to breastfeed for the first six months of the child’s life.

This would reduce the rate of respiratory infections, gastroenteritis infections and risk of food allergies chest infections among babies.
