Avoid Heart Attack : Live In A Quiet Neighbourhood

Noise pollution – biggest complaint among city dwellers. But do you really know how harmful it is?

Researchers in Germany found that middle-age urban dwellers are 46 per cent more likely to have a heart attack and men in high noise levels jobs one-third more likely too.

Also several studies have suggested that long-term exposure to traffic noise or loud workplaces such as factory floors may contribute to high blood pressure and heart attack risk. Besides if the exposure prolongs for long then it may even damage the cardiovascular system.

Loud noise acts as a “warning,” for the body and the body adapts by undergoing hormonal change and also with an increase in blood pressure and heart rate which can even prove fatal for the patient.
