Aspirin could cut down enlarged prostate risk by 50%!

Enlarged prostate is such a condition that affects almost half of men in their 70s. But, here is a good news for such people. Actually, a new study by scientists at Minnesota’s Mayo Clinic has uncovered a fact, which states that Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS), among which we may count aspirin, could hold back the risk of developing an enlarged prostate by half among men.

However, experts who have propagated this fact have failed to bring out the radical reason behind this. Perhaps, that is the reason why they are not advising anybody to start taking aspirin. In the words of Dr Jenny St Sauver who is a lead researcher of this study, ‘….that does not mean that they were advising every man to start popping NSAIDS.’

Still, it is very difficult to say anything about this research, since it is in its initial stage and researchers are not very sure about their finding. Still, those who wish to use aspirin to stave off the risk of enlarged prostate they must take counsel of their doctors before using it.
