Malaria a deadly epidemic- kills millions of people every year, mostly children. To get over it, WHO recommended people to use DDT to kill malaria mosquitoes in homes.
A recent study found an alternative to cure malaria patients with infusions of albumin which is a blood protein that helps to prevent malaria.
Trials were conducted on children affected with severe malaria by treating them with albumin which resulted in high survival rates as well as showed lower risks of death than to fluids.
The treatment with albumin tends to be a supportive treatment saving many lives. It requires further research work before getting approval from the Health Organization.
