VideoWave systems are available through Bose stores. Bose released these systems on 14th of October with a 46-inch screen television. The cost of the system is around $5,349 which includes personal delivery and installation by Bose engineers. It is a steep price considering it is only a 46-inch screen and then there are another TV available which have integrated sound bars? But as it is Bose and we all know Bose name has a premium price.
Whatâs great?
Bose has come up with this system to give a better audio performance with television viewing. They have integrated 7.1 channel home theater system and amplifier in their television.
1. Effects and notes: Normal LED or LCD TVs do not give a very high quality sound system. To get that, one has to attach a home theater system to the TV. Now the home theater system is attached to the speakers through wires. It all is a much cluttered process. So Bose has attached 16 speakers and 6 woofers in the rear end of its 46-inch television to produce booming bass and high pitch. The woofers direct the sound through a curved tube which transforms small input into a large amount of sound. This in the end results into a low frequency audio. The end result with all the sound coming through 7 speakers, 6 woofers and 2 tweeters is a sound which gives a feeling of sound coming from all directions. 2. LCD TV: The television set provided by Bose is a 46-inch LCD TV which has 120 Hz panel with vibrant colors. It has a resolution of 1920X1080 which is good resolution as compared with other TVs. The console comes with 4 HDMI ports. It also has two USB ports. It also comes with iPod dock. It also has function to turn off the display to save power.
3. Remote: It comes with a multipurpose remote which takes care of most of the used functionality of any TV.
Whatâs not so great
Bose has come up with only one television set which is 46-inch LCD TV. And when at the same price one can get a bigger TV, one has to go purely for good visual and very good audio experience. Bose is also not promising, if it will come up with other size TV models.
Also some steps are to be taken while installing that it should be placed along a wall so that the side walls are at equal distances from the monitor.
Things to watch out for
1. The VideoWave system has a database of remote control codes that can be updated anytime, however, you would need an internet connection to do this.
2. The system is equipped with software that helps to find a particular device remote which could not be identified by the system at times. Just by the routine update process, it provides the latest available information.
Verdict
To ensure that you have a great viewing experience and when you do not want a mess of wires at your place or in other sense, if redundancy of speakers is the thing you need⦠then VideoWave system is your answer. The incorporation of all the acoustics including the bass performance eliminates the need of sub-woofer to complement the system. Bose has come up with a stunning LCD HDTV which also acts a powerful multi-channel audio system without the external speakers. Bose has not compromised on the audio technology front though it has LCD TV looks a bit bulky. It also has priced the product at above $5000 bracket which is very high as compared to other product. But when one feels the audio power with any surrounding wires and speakers, one does not feel the pinch. It is very good bargain for Bose audio technology fans, who also look for good visual experience. The VideoWave system is a unique kind of technology which removes home cinema complication putting everything at the same place.
