The US-based technology firm called Uber has announced its cost-effective cab booking service in India. While Uber has already been providing its services across several cities in India, its new UberX service is an attempt to offer affordable car booking solutions.

Uber has been providing effective cab services in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Its new service, UberX, is a cheaper option to hire luxury cars. You can simply book a commercially licensed sedan through an app on your Smartphone. The app also gives you an option to choose between two different services, that is the standard service and the UberX service. On the app’s home screen, a slider is provided through which you may alter your choice of service.

UberX service allows you to avail mid-range sedans that can effectively accommodate up to four passengers. Currently, you may make a choice between Maruti Swift DZire and Toyota Etios cars.
