Top 5 all-in-one Blu-ray home cinema surround sound systems

Grow with Dr Prem

Ray surround systems are available in different shapes and sizes, ranging from economical one boxers to decadent separates that are very attractive and catch the delight of everybody. All-in-ones do offer a better value for money and easier setups than the separates, however arguably they may not quite have such great performance. Listed below are five such high-end Blu-ray home cinema surround sound systems that deserve a fleeing glance for sure:

1. Samsung’s l.330W. 7.1-channel system: Best overall value

This product has a Blu-ray receiver that is sleek and displays HD images to sharp clarity and the attractive tallboy speakers with ripped-open innards do provide a stylish look. The audio quality may lack the clarity that are present in Oh and Onkya systems. But it is not a sonic slouch and the spec sheet reveals it’s a home cinema with A to Z-DLNA networking, wireless rear speakers, USB playback, and built in Wi-Fi. It also comes equipped with extensive format support and dual HDMI inputs. The breadth of features and the ease of use makes C6730W a very good buy and provide you with great value for your money. The price of the system is £550.

2. HARMAN KARDON BDS 800: Best audio-visual quality

It has a sleek design combined with a great performance to match. This BDS 800 has a crisp and clean HD audio with 65 watts per channel, along with a tight bass from the 200W sub. The system reproduces audio with finest details that has a definite edge over other cheaper systems. Moreover, the Blu-ray drive produces splendid HD visuals. Looking at the performance, the BDS 800 offers very few extra features except a USB port. No media streaming is available, although you get a real good surround sound. This device will cost you £1100.

3. PANASONIC SC-BTT350: Great for 3D lovers

Dr Prem Tech and Web Services

This is a 5.1 multi channel system with 1000W that supports both 2D and 3D Blu-rays with an immaculate picture quality and has a feature of streaming media wirelessly from any PC, although via a £80 dongle. The device also offers online content with Picasa and YouTube widgets on Vieracast. The features include a built-in iPod dock, a digital audio input and an SD card slot. However, there is no HDMI and the quality of the sound is disappointing. It sounds sharp, shouty and the bass punch is lacking. The basic features have been ignored in this budget system. The clunky, boxy looks of this system are not the ones you will fall in love with. You have to spend £360 to own this one.

4. TEUFEL IMPAQ 3000: Best build quality

This is first Blu-ray system which has surprisingly light specifications that you will be looking in a £600 system. The main features of this system are its robust quality, the attractive design of its speakers and the connection which include two HDMIs, an iPod dock and a USB port. The 600W speakers sometimes sound harsh and the 150W subwoofer is also too overpowering. This system is priced at £619

5. ONKYO BD-SP308, TX-SR608 and OH by Tutundo: Best high-end choice

It uses two different systems and combines the expensive Oh by Tutundo system with the powerful Onkyo SR608. The features of this system include an AV receiver that has six HDMI inputs and the BD-SP308 Blu-ray deck. The Oh’s five 80W speakers with a mic-stanavd-like look and beefy 200W sub sucks every detail from the SR608. Thus, it provides a powerful, detailed and finessed audio that all-in-one systems won’t be able to compete with. To own this system, you will have to pay £6365.

These systems are some of the best available Blu ray systems in the market. Though these products may be heavily priced but they are worth it as they provide you with high quality pictures and sound.
