HTC Corporation has launched its ‘Gold HTC one’ in the market a few months ago and the device has become the latest sensation in the technology world. We have already got familiar with the super hit gold iPhone 5s and now it is time to take a peek into the HTC One gold edition. Here we go:
Overview
The ‘Gold HTC One’, the winner of the MOBO Awards 2013 (the Best Newcomer), is basically the 18-karat gold plated version of the regular HTC One with aluminum casing. Just have a look at this classic smartphone and you will understand that the exclusive gadget is almost identical to its standard counterpart externally. However, it comes with a transparent protective coating which gives it a glossy finish and the gold plating makes it a little chunkier (4 gm.). Notably, gold HTC one is quite a lot less delicate than the gold edition of the iPhone 5s. But you should still purchase a suitable case for it in order to keep it safe.
Design
As said previously, the unibody structure of the new HTC One is made of 18-carat gold instead of aluminum. There is a MOBO 18th anniversary logo engraved on the flipside of the gadget. It is a light-weight device (only 147 grams) that can be grabbed and used easily and effortlessly. The design is very sleek and the gold adds a touch of elegance to it. Furthermore, the use of gold ensures that the outer body of the phone does not get affected by stains or fingerprints.
Features
The 18-carat gold plating is definitely the specialty of this smartphone. But it has some other exclusive features too. Some of the key features of the Gold HTC One are: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System (with smooth Sense User Interface), Snapdragon 600 quad-core (1.7GHz) Processor from Qualcomm, 4.7” Full High-Definition 1080p Display, 4MP Ultrapixel main camera, BoomSound speakers, etc.
Cost and Availability
It is quite clear now that the Gold HTC one is nothing but a pricier gold edition of the standard HTC One. The gold plating makes it a not-for-everyone gadget. In addition, it is a limited-edition smartphone and the manufacturer HTC has made only 5 similar devices till now. So, it is quite difficult to own the HTC One Gold. However, if you still want to try your luck, you have to spend around £2,750.
