What’s good?

If it is still a head sctratcher, we first need to consider what the 4k resolution really means. In digital media, 1k (kilo) represents 1024 units, unlike the British physical standards, when 1k meant 1,000 units. This simplifies the fact that, a picture of a 4k resolution will be displayed at 4×1024=4096 width and 2160 height, that is about four times of an HD resolution (1080×1024 pixels). Visibly smarter ! To add more the dynamic contrast and smooth visuals make the pictures clearer than ever.

Industry buzz

While the 4k projection technology makes its way into the living rooms is being seen as a revolutionary change, the competitors seriously be needing some change in standards to even stand a chance against Sony.

Price and availability

The estimated price for this model will be around $25,000 which is equivalent to ¥1.68 million and a little more than £14,000. Hopefully it will be available from December 2011 for the large span of awaiting consumers including the video artists, gamers, visual specialists and home viewers with some serious addiction.

Wrap up

Sony has made its reputation in setting the standards higher each time they come up with something new, and this time definitely the home theater market is gonna rock with the next generation projection technology of Sony. The product is already been rated high by experts at leading organizations and is expected to have a high impact in the projector market.
