Appearance

Motorola has applied its tried and tested formula to the appearance of their latest venture – Moto E. In a very glance, Moto E looks absolutely like the Moto G, especially the back panel. Now talking about the rear of Moto E, it is curved and made up of polycarbonate, which makes it extremely comfortable to hold. The front panel of Moto E is different from Moto G, as it has two speaker grilles with a chrome tone on the top and bottom of the front panel.

The measurement of Moto E is 124.8×64.8×12.3mm and it weighs 142 grams. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen has a 4.3-inch display with a qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution, and offers 256ppi pixel density. The black strip around the glass differentiates the plastic front from the rear panels. The right side nestles power and volume buttons with 3.5mm audio jack on the top and the micro USB port sat the bottom. Now coming to the back side of Moto E, there is a 5 megapixel non-flash camera with the Motorola logo beneath. The back panels are exchangeable; however, the battery is non-removable.

Software

The Moto E is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor in conjunction with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB inbuilt storage (2.1GB user-accessible), and also supports up to 32 GB expandable storage via microSD card.

Performance

Moto E is a high speed and a productive performer. Navigation across the menu and switching apps is pretty smooth. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Basically it is a rough device with a scratch-resistant screen and waterproof capacity. The 5pixel rear camera is good at results; however, missing front facing camera is a downside of Moto E. The storage capacity is good that gives a chance to save humongous data on your cell phone. Moto E has a claim that promises entire day battery life, and the 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity options make Moto E a stupendous device.

Value for money

Moto E is the next big thing at extremely competitive price from the house of Motorola. After a giant success after Moto G and Moto X, Motorola has smartly priced Moto E to dominate other players in the market like Lava, Samsung, Micromax and Xolo. The pricing and the software of Moto E makes it a true value for money.
