Design

The phone has a solid built and all features well put together. It is slim (7.9 mm) and lightweight at just 149g. The edges are a bit sharp and the sides have a chrome strip all over, we are a bit suspicious about the fading and the chipping of the chrome strips. Rest of the design seems quite aesthetically pleasing. Bottom of the phone houses capacitive buttons, the home button works as the notification LED also, glows red or green depending on the nature of alert. And not to miss, it is a dual sim phone.

Features

Lava Iris 504Q+ has a 5 inch display with a resolution quality of HD, 1280 x 720 Pixels. Colors are vivid and the viewing angles are wide and good. The screen is from Sharp made from OGS production technique. The added layer of Asahi Dragontail glass (it is stronger than the Corning Gorilla glass) gives your phone scratch resistance. The new Air Shuffle technique lets you navigate certain apps like the camera, radio, gallery and media by just a wave of your hand over the front camera/sensor.

Performance

The 2000 mAh battery is a disappointment, as it will not last a day with heavy usage. However, the music player is a polished one, audio quality is really good. Out of the 8GB internal memory, 5.3GB is usable by the user. You can also expand the memory with a microSD card if you want. Coming to the connectivity factor of the Lava Iris 504Q+, it supports quad-band 2G and single-band 3G. The two SIM slots have a GSM + WCDMA configuration, and you also gets USB 2.0, GPS, Wi-Fi ‘n’, Bluetooth v3.0. Power Saver, Sketch and Variety theme are some of the apps that come pre-installed in the device. The 10MP camera has a good potential, with a say CHEESE or CAPTURE or simply Wave to click photographs strategy. Focusing speed is not the fastest but it does a good job of focusing where you want it to focus. You can get stunning close-ups in good lighting conditions.

Price

You can get Lava Iris 504Q+ fro Rs. 13,000, which is a not bad price for the features it has.
