The Hanx Writer app combines the modern luxury of typing on an iPad with the word processing that used to be done in older times using manual typewriters. This virtual typewriter is designed exactly like a typical manual typewriter. It also gives the same tactile feel that a manual typewriter used to provide. You can actually feel the rhythm while you type on it. This typewriter app is available with three different options that include Hanx Prime Select, Hanx 707 and Hanx Golden Touch. While Hanx 707 is bold in design, Hanx Golden Touch is more elegant and sleek. These versions also provide extra features, such as creating multiple documents, font color change and picture addition to title pages.
Performance
This typewriter app is compatible with iPad and needs iOS 7.0 or later to run. The Hanx Writer app is designed from scratch by initially using Photoshop and then adding texture, shape and color layers on prototypes. Illustrations were hand-painted while custom typefaces were created for each typewriter. Thus, some unique fonts were produced and 3D modeling was done to finalize the actual product. The result of such intensive work can be seen in the way this app performs. It works absolutely like a real manual typewriter while giving the same typing effects and touch.
