Korea Green Foundation is organizing the Low Carbon Green Growth EXPO, the biggest green exhibition in Korea, from October 20-22, 2009. Here, at the COEX Korea Exhibition Center, you could see professionals from over 100 companies, including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, sharing their eco-expertise. Among the various gadgets displayed at the EXPO are solar-charged cellular phones, mercury-free LED TVs and eco-friendly monitors using recycled plastic.
While Samsung will try to woo its green customers with solar-powered handsets, displays, energy-efficient e-book readers, the latest DDR3 memory chips, the ultra-slim, mercury-free LED monitors and low-energy washing machines and humidifiers, its biggest competitor LG Electronics will let its clients have a peep into solar-charged handsets, energy-efficient “inverter” air conditioners and other products. LG’s solar-powered mobile delivers three minutes of call time for 11 minutes solar charging.
Kumho Tire and Kyungdong Navien are exhibiting four green tire varieties and heat-efficient gas boilers respectively. So, it’s a great platform for the novices as well.
